The school, a purpose built setting nestled within a leafy Sheffield suburb, attracts a varied catchment of students from the surrounding areas, which contributes to the schools diversity. The school are looking to appoint a specialist for their Design Technology department on a full time basis from September 2024. The department is varied, with staff teaching across the subjects within the DT umbrella to deliver modules focused on skill, material and process. Staff have worked collaboratively to ensure that the curriculum is delivered in a dynamic and enjoyable way, whilst maintaining challenge and guiding students to achieve their full potential.

What you'll need to succeed
The opening is for a teacher across both KS3 and KS4, working on a full time, long term basis. The timetable will compromise of majority Resistant Materials, with some Food Technology lessons.
The school are keen to secure a member of staff who is willing to commit to their time with the school, and would consider a longer term assignment. The current staff within the department are identified as supportive and inclusive, welcoming new staff with a nurturing and friendly approach. The ideal candidate for this role will be;

A dedicated and enthusiastic practitioner
A DT specialist with QTS
In possession of a DBS or willing to apply for one
Committed to a long term role with potential for extension
