Bates & Bradshaw are recruiting for a privately owned multi-disciplined mechanical engineering company which was established in 2010.

Our team of engineers work on UK, European & International engineering projects. Our core business model is Installation, Decommissioning, Movement and Maintenance of mechanical services and specialist machinery predominantly in the Glass Industry.

Our client works closely with most the UK's major glass manufacturing plants and in more recent years has expanded operations into Europe and further afield internationally, operating out of Asia, North America and South America.

Job Description

We are looking to recruit experienced, hardworking Labourers / Assistant Engineers to work closely with our Engineering team. Your role will be to provide labouring support and assistance to our engineering team, working on a wide range of projects in the UK and Europe.

If you are looking for a 9-5 role, this may not be suitable, our teams work long hours each week so please take this into consideration before you apply.

Our engineering projects see us working in Scotland, Yorkshire and Lancashire resulting in the need to be away from home overnight. We also carry out projects in Europe and travel will be required.

Role Requirements

* Dependable, Punctual and Reliable

* Be able to work as a team and the ability to work independently when required

* FLT Licence - Up to 3 tonnes (Preferred)

* Full UK Driving Licence (Preferred)

* CSCS or CPCS Card (Preferable - But not essential)

Working Hours & Overtime

* 12 Hour Days - 12 days on with the following weekend off

* 12 Hours Days - 5 Days on with the weekend off

(This is not a shift pattern; the hours vary between both scenarios and are project dependant)

This role will see you working over our core hours due to the nature of the work, however you will receive overtime at time and a half after you have hit your 8 hours in the day.

You may also find yourself working away from home regularly, this may include weekends, again as and when required.
