Overview:
CPL UK Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to oversee the operations of a children's residential home in Birmingham. This role involves leading a team to provide exceptional care for children and young people while ensuring compliance with relevant care standards and fostering a supportive, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the residential home, ensuring a safe, caring, and supportive environment for children and young people.

* Ensure compliance with The Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and other care standards.

* Supervise and support staff, promoting professional care and practices tailored to the needs of each young person.

* Plan and implement care programmes in collaboration with schools, social workers, and other professionals.

* Recruit, induct, and train staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and effective rotas.

* Maintain accurate records and reports, attend reviews, and make referrals to external agencies as needed.

* Oversee safeguarding practices, health and safety compliance, and emergency procedures.

* Monitor staff performance, ensure regular supervision, and encourage professional development.

* Maintain the home's equipment and facilities, ensuring a comfortable and well-maintained environment.

* Act as the primary point of accountability for the home and report regularly to the Responsible Individual and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

* Proven managerial experience in children's residential care or a similar setting.

* Relevant qualifications Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent

* Strong understanding of safeguarding, regulatory standards, and health & safety requirements.

* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

* Flexibility to work on a rota, including weekends, sleep-ins, and being on-call.
