Due to continued success built over several years we are currently seeking a Depot Manager for the Barnsley depot of this nationwide highly successful business.

The Depot Manager will be responsible for all on site activities and organisation of a fleet of trade HGV collection vehicles and the operation of the transfer facility ensuring continuity and day to day running operations.

You will also ensure that the site is operated in accordance with the site environmental permit, current legislation and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include;

* Financial P&L responsibility

* Monitoring staff performance

* Booking and organization plant / hgv maintenance and inspections and reactive vehicle maintenance in response to break downs

* Ensure daily continuity of staffing, plant, hgv's and equipment to maintain the uninterrupted operation of the facility and service to the trade customers.

* Ensure that the relevant Health and Safety rules are adhered to and proactively maintain the company expectation and aspirations on Health, Safety, welfare and compliance with support from the internal Compliance team.

Applicants will have some experience or exposure to a Waste Operation transfer, handling and bulking operations.

CoTC/WAMITAB to level 4 (or be prepared to work towards certification with support from the business).

Full driving licence and flexibility to travel for meetings/training/site visits is a pre-requisite. We would also welcome candidates who have a FLT license and are able to operate a shovel and other onsite machinery.

Flexible approach to working between the hours of 0600 and 1800 hrs Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays as and when required. £(phone number removed) pa negotiable
