Freelance Site Manager (Groundworks)
Start: 8th July (could take the right candidate earlier)
Duration: 12 months
Location: Leeds

Experienced Freelance Site Manager required for a Groundworks packages in Leeds. The role would be begin working on a Residential Groundworks scheme in Leeds before moving onto the Groundworks package for a city centre office building.

I Ideal candidate will be from a Groundworks and Civil Engineering background. The successful candidate MUST be able to read drawings.

The Role:
• Overseeing day-to-day site operations
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Coordinating with site teams, main contractor, and suppliers
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety compliance
• Managing resources, including materials, equipment, and workers
• Conducting regular site inspections ensuring excellent housekeeping and safety standards
• Resolving any on-site issues promptly and effectively
• Reporting progress to senior management

The Candidate:
• Freelance Site Manager experience in Groundworks for Industrial/Commercial schemes
• Strong knowledge of groundworks, including excavation, drainage, and foundations
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• CSCS Card, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications are essential
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
