Our Client, a European Financial Services Company are looking for an internal compliance manager on a permanent basis.

The company wide impact in this role is undeniable. Mitigating risks in fast growing environment leads to significant impact driven by the role. A successful finance compliance manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that an organisation adheres to legal standards and internal policies.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • 5-7 years' experience in managing external and/or internal audit processes in multinational organisations.
  • Master's degree in finance or accounting. 
  • Strong communication skills to build relationships with members of other teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in setting the strategy for the function and aligning it with wider company goals.
  • Broad experience in designing, implementing and verifying internal control environments. Experience with SOX compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Scrupulosity, accuracy and reliability in performing procedures and documenting work.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing policies for key finance processes and internal controls.
  • Support other finance functions and teams in implementation and applying policies and internal controls. 
  • Managing risk and performing periodical audit readiness assessments for internal audits (including materiality and risk assessments).
  • Support in internal and external audits. 
  • Staying informed, being knowledgeable about current industry practices and regulatory requirements.

Location: Remote in Portugal/Spain

Candidates must be eligible to work in this country.
