Join our team and be part of crafting excellence! Shepherd Neame is looking for a motivated individual to help bottle our finest, renowned beers with precision and care. Based at our historic brewery and bottling facility in Faversham, Kent, you will work on a high-speed production line, ensuring every bottle meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

In this hands-on role, you'll be directly involved in the bottling process, playing a vital role in preparing our products for distribution in bottles, casks, or kegs. You'll thrive in a team-oriented environment where attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to excellence are essential.

The ideal candidate:

  • Work to schedules and ability to be flexible to meet production requirements
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures for the highest level of safety, product quality and housekeeping
  • Passion and drive to develop and become a multi-skilled team member

The following skills are not essential but would be advantageous:

  • Ability to drive a fork lift truck/clamp truck
  • PC literacy relating to email, MS word, excel (SAP would be advantage)
  • Prior FMCG experience as well as knowledge of WC

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the packaging beer into bottles, cask, keg and other process areas such as canning, ullage and co-pack
  • Startup, operation, changeover and shutdown of plant and equipment
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures
  • First-level maintenance practices such as cleaning and defect reporting
  • Alignment with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) practices such as 5S and visual management
  • Perform ‘Quality at Source’ checks to ensure a first-time-right culture
  • FLT truck operation and loading / unloading of delivery vehicles
  • Deliver the "daily production plan" in full
  • Support plant and operating efficiency initiatives
  • Report and action hazards and adhere to safe systems of work
  • Input production data into IT based systems
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and hygiene standards
