Refrigeration Engineer - Edinburgh - Facilities Management

FM Search & Select Ltd is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management company, providing PPM and reactive maintenance for supermarket refrigeration systems across Edinburgh and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a role with door-to-door travel pay and on-call rota (1 in 4).

Package:

£47,000 (based on experience)

*

Door-to-door travel paid

*

Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

*

On-call rota (1 in 4) with additional earnings

*

Company van, fuel card & tools provided

25 days annual leave + bank holidays

Responsibilities:

*

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on supermarket refrigeration systems

*

Diagnose and repair faults on pack systems, display cabinets, cold rooms, and freezers

*

Ensure all work is completed in line with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards

*

Provide high-quality service and maintain strong client relationships

*

Form part of an on-call rota (1 in 4) to cover emergency breakdowns

*

Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work carried out

Qualifications & Skills:

*

City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent)

*

F-Gas Category 1 Certification (essential)

*

CO₂ Refrigeration Certification (desirable)

*

Experience working with supermarket refrigeration systems (packs, cold rooms, display cabinets)

*

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

*

Full UK driving licence (essential)

*

Good communication and customer service skills

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
