Evolve Personnel are currently recruiting for a Toolroom Operative for our client in the Oldbury area.

The ideal candidate will have hands on experience within a CNC turning environment with the ability to work under pressure. The individual will be expected to support the day-to-day production activities in the most efficient manner, working within a team to provide both manufacture of new parts and conduct repairs to support the manufacturing divisions.

Responsibilities & Experience:

* Experience with manual lathe work and general Toolroom machining methods

* Experience with Siemens controls

* Able to read and understand engineering drawings

* Well organised, multi-skilled, self-motivated, and professional

* Good timekeeping and attendance

* Responsible for achieving own key objectives, as well as the objectives of the team

* Able to prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines under pressure

* Computer literate and able to communicate and record information effectively

* Attention to detail; accuracy is paramount

* Able to communicate at all levels and have a “can do” attitude

* Willing to progress skillset on new equipment and machining methods

* Operate Toolroom equipment to a high standard

* Operate a Forklift Truck and Overhead Crane to assist with daily duties whilst also enabling tooling to be delivered to production - training will be provided

* Ensure as part of the team, manufacture is covered in a timely manner

* Ensure as part of the team, breakdowns are covered in a timely manner

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm / Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm
