Our client, a prominent Top 50 UK accountancy firm, is currently seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join their dynamic team in Uxbridge. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a key role within a highly respected organisation known for its personalised client relationships and commitment to employee development.
Position Overview
As an Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing a diversified portfolio of owner-managed companies with turnovers ranging from £1 million to £100 million. You will be responsible for overseeing both audit (75%) and accounting (25%) assignments, ensuring high-quality work and client satisfaction. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of managers and partners to support the growth of the office and the development of the team.
Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of approximately 50 clients, with annual fees in the region of £500,000 and above

Liaise with clients and manage their expectations effectively

Organise and run all accounting and audit assignments for the portfolio

Supervise and review staff output, primarily accounts for audit production

Report directly to a partner and attend client meetings

Review accounts and corporation tax deliverables

Attend and contribute to practice development initiatives, including networking and new prospect/potential client proposals

Work within an existing team of managers and partners to further develop and support the growth of the office and the development of the team
Requirements
-
ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience

2:1 degree from a British University

Excellent knowledge of FRS102

Proven auditing technical skills

Good IT skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and accounting packages

Experience in managing the audit process from planning to completion of financial statements

Working knowledge of Digita and Caseware (desirable)
