Business Administrator - Facilities & Construction - £26k - £28k DOE - Basildon

A well established, successful business within the Construction industry, based in Basildon is looking for a Business Support Administrator to assist as they are growing.

For this role we are ideally looking for a well organised, friendly candidate who is confident working both independently and within a team environment.

Previous experience in the Construction industry is welcomed although not essential

The role is ideally suited for someone who is PC literate and has a strong knowledge of the office suite of programmes (mainly Outlook, Excel, Word), and someone who enjoys a 'can do’ attitude.

Duties:

  • Supporting the Senior members of staff with day-to-day administration, such as the MD, Project Managers, Surveyors etc.
  • Being first point of contact via telephone for the company
  • Managing company compliance, Insurances, accreditations etc.
  • Managing spreadsheets
  • General office administration duties
  • Managing operative vetting, Risk Assessments and reports via client portals
  • Fire alarm tests / drills
  • Ordering PPE
  • Fleet management
  • HR records
  • Responsible for ordering office consumables
  • Some light PA work, Managing travel arrangements, hotels, parking, company events, client events etc. on an ad-hoc basis

The candidate:

  • Highly advantageous if you have Facilities / Construction industry experience
  • Someone with Administrative experience
  • Positive, enthusiastic and approachable
  • Be confident working independently
  • Good organisation skills and attention to detail

Details

  • Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 hour for lunch

  • 20 days annual leave plus bank
  • Paying between £26,000 and £28,000 depending on experience
