Business Administrator - Facilities & Construction - £26k - £28k DOE - Basildon
A well established, successful business within the Construction industry, based in Basildon is looking for a Business Support Administrator to assist as they are growing.
For this role we are ideally looking for a well organised, friendly candidate who is confident working both independently and within a team environment.
Previous experience in the Construction industry is welcomed although not essential
The role is ideally suited for someone who is PC literate and has a strong knowledge of the office suite of programmes (mainly Outlook, Excel, Word), and someone who enjoys a 'can do’ attitude.
Duties:
- Supporting the Senior members of staff with day-to-day administration, such as the MD, Project Managers, Surveyors etc.
- Being first point of contact via telephone for the company
- Managing company compliance, Insurances, accreditations etc.
- Managing spreadsheets
- General office administration duties
- Managing operative vetting, Risk Assessments and reports via client portals
- Fire alarm tests / drills
- Ordering PPE
- Fleet management
- HR records
- Responsible for ordering office consumables
- Some light PA work, Managing travel arrangements, hotels, parking, company events, client events etc. on an ad-hoc basis
The candidate:
- Highly advantageous if you have Facilities / Construction industry experience
- Someone with Administrative experience
- Positive, enthusiastic and approachable
- Be confident working independently
- Good organisation skills and attention to detail

- Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 hour for lunch

- Paying between £26,000 and £28,000 depending on experience
