Project Manager - Energy Sector

We are recruiting an experienced Project Manager to join an established business on a brand new project, specializing in overseeing and managing DNO (Distribution Network Operator) power-related contracts. As a key player in the organisation, you'll be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of projects, from initial planning stages through to execution and completion. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

In this role, you will lead and motivate project teams, while coordinating closely with internal departments, external contractors, and key stakeholders. Your ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules will ensure that resources are effectively allocated and that project milestones are met.

You'll manage project budgets, implement cost control measures to ensure financial objectives are achieved. Additionally, you will provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress, challenges, and key developments.

Risk management will also be a core component of your responsibilities, as you'll be expected to identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact project timelines and outcomes. Furthermore, your expertise will be critical in advising on bid levels, program strategies, commercial agreements, and future projects.

All of this will be underpinned by working closely and cohesively with the HSE team with safety at the forefront of every action.

You'll be tasked with growing and developing a large field based team and as such the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate leadership experience and have a strong background in project management within the energy or utility sector, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex DNO power-related contracts. You should possess excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a sharp focus on delivering high-quality results.
