A client within the Public Sector based in Merseyside is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join their City Development team as soon as possible. The client is offering a part-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a city development environment.The RoleKey purpose of the role:As part of its improvement journey, the Council is undertaking a programme of transformation across City Development functions including Planning, Highways, Investment and Development. This role will support delivery of various improvement projects.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Supporting the programme of improvement across City Development
• Managing specific improvement projects including organisational design, staff development, and business planning
• Coordinating stakeholders, timelines, and reporting across a range of workstreams

The CandidateTo be considered for this role you will require:

• Proven experience in project management within the public sector
• Strong background in organisational change and service improvement

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Knowledge of local authority procedures and governance
• Experience with planning and development-related services
