The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Surveyor to join our clients team in Leicestershire. The company is a leader in its field working alongside some of the UK's most reputable designers, architects and contractors.
You will make a significant impact on our operations, Ideally, candidates will come with a background in joinery and experience with Surveying and or estimating.
This role requires the running of the commercial aspects of multiple projects, working in tandem with the project managers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Project Financials: Review project finances and develop initial cash flow projections.
• Quotation Analysis: Assess and analyse quotes from installation teams.
• Budget Management: Monitor material and subcontract expenditures to ensure alignment with budgets.
• Scope Variations: Identify, price, and justify changes to the project
• Payment Applications: Prepare and submit monthly payment applications.
• Final Accounts: Promptly agree on final accounts upon project completion.
• Contractual Issues: Address and resolve contractual and commercial matters effectively.
• Retention Management: Track and manage outstanding retentions as per sub-contract orders.
• Fortnightly Reporting: Compile and submit fortnightly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) to the management team.
• Project Accounting: Maintain up-to-date project accounts and keep clients informed throughout.
• Profit Maximization: Collaborate with the project delivery team to enhance project profitability.

Key Qualities:
• Detail-Oriented & Accurate: You have a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks.
• Conscientious & Reliable: A responsible approach to work, ensuring tasks are completed diligently.
• Strong Communicator: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to think quickly and articulate ideas effectively.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate successfully, fostering positive outcomes.
• IT Proficiency: Strong skills in IT, particularly with Excel, are essential.
• Approachable & Professional: Capable of handling queries with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Industry Experience: A background in joinery is preferred.
• Client Management & Sales: Skilled in managing client relationships and identifying sales opportunities.
