About the role of Senior Site Engineer

Fawkes & Reece are proud to be working with a large Tier 1 Main Contractor. Working within construction, civil engineering and on large frameworks. This opportunity on Huge MOD industrial £160m scheme in Sheffield, where they are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the team.

Responsibilities for Senior Site Engineer

Ensure all site activities are undertaken in compliance.
Oversee all site personnel ensuring inductions, approved risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are in place.
Supervise and monitor the direct site labour force and monitor, coordinate, and manage sub-contractors.
Managing and coordinating subcontract packages
Assist the Project team to ensure the works is constructed to the quality required by the Contract Drawings and specification.
Produce RAMS for directly employed labour and approve RAMS for other elements of the work.
Ensure procedures, inspections and forms is implemented, including accident reporting, permits to work and temporary works.
Confirm accurate setting out and dimensional control within specified tolerances.
Check drawings, specifications and other contract documents are kept up to date.
Communicate programme risks to the Project Manager/Commercial Manager and maintain records for contractual correspondence.
Ensure accurate daily records are maintained and communicated for labour, material, and plant, including Sub-Contractors
Assist with the management of the samples and benchmarking document.

Requirements for Senior Site Engineer

Degree, HND or Equivalent
5 years previous experience in a similar role
Demonstrable experience in setting out large scale contracts.
Valid driving licence
SMSTS training
Experience in use of Field view and 4P Viewpoint
Experience With Tier 1 Main Contractors.

What we offer for

£50,000 - £55,000 + package
25 days annual leave + bank holidays
Car allowance or company car.
