My client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Sous Chef to join their culinary team. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting a culture of professionalism and excellence.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies while keeping cost controls in mind.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
  • Develop and introduce new recipes and menus, reflecting seasonal availability and current culinary trends.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent cooking skills with a strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with sanitation regulations.
  • Creativity and passion for food and culinary arts.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
