Job Title: Lighting Designer

Responsible for designing lighting calculations to relevant standards and specifications usingWILA/EB products and creating layout drawings, technical presentations and quotations to deadlines accurately and professionally.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

* Accurate Lighting Calculations using Dialux or Dialux Evo

* Customer take off counts and quote creation

* Provide lighting payback calculations (ROI) on a project-by-project basis in order to meet customer expectations

* Support the growth of the business and sales team by working closely with customers

* Undertake and performing site surveys and customer meetings

* Liaising with customers directly on their lighting design schemes

* Provide product datasheets and related information for all products

* Be knowledgeable and able to apply relevant industry and segment guidelines, standards

* and regulatory requirements and be able to translate these to the sales team

* Maintain and orderly workflow according to priorities set by your manager

* Maintain accurate records (CRM)

* Being knowledgeable about products and services offered by the business

* Being aware of market trends and competitors

* Maintain a positive attitude that promotes a culture of growth through sales across the business

* Continue the philosophy to always communicate effectively, providing a knowledgeable and intimate service to all internal and external customers.

Qualification and Skills

* Minimum of HNC in Engineering or Science based subject or equivalent technical

* competence

* Minimum of 3 years relevant lighting industry experience in a Lighting design / Technical environment

* Knowledge of current BS and EN standards and CIBSE guides relating to lighting

* Good level of technical knowledge relating to lighting products and associated components

* A high level of IT literacy

* An excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux,

* Able to engage effectively with staff at all levels with different levels of technical
