Jackson Hogg is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a global manufacturing organisation on the appointment of a Purchasing Manager.

About the Job
Joining a very well established and closely-knit team, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for leading from the front in driving best practice and driving improvements whilst continuously developing the team.

With full responsibility of the raw materials category for the site, the Purchasing Manager will lead both the strategy and operations of the purchasing, inventory management and building relationships with internal and external vendors, stakeholders and suppliers. Activities will include negotiating and managing supplier contracts, agreements and SLAs, setting and managing minimum and maximum inventory levels.

Working within a busy manufacturing organisation, the Purchasing Manager will need to be a strong team player by building relationships and working collaboratively across departments to ensure that business objectives are met.

Reporting into the Site Director, this is a fantastic opportunity for a proacitve and driven Procurement Manager to come into a well-established team with fresh eyes with scope to spot opportunities, shape and design improvements and really add value. This role would also suit an existing Procurement Manager looking for exposure of leading a larger team within a global organisation.

Desired Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

* Proven success within a Purchasing or Procurement Management position

* Experience building relationships, negotiating and managing a global portfolio of suppliers

* Excellent communicator with the ability to lead, coach, mentor and motivate a diverse team

* Exposure working within a manufacturing environment - electronics manufacturing specifically would be advantageous

* Maintain a can-do and proactive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively across all departments
