We are building a team of Schematic Drafters that will play a key part in creating precise CAD drawings that incorporate GIS data, ensuring spatial accuracy and integration with geospatial information. This position focuses on producing detailed schematics and technical drawings while working closely with GIS experts to uphold spatial integrity in design processes.
We are looking to build 3 levels of Drafters for this project so rates will differ pending on years and seniority in this specific position. This is the reason why the rate isn't posted here.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver high-quality CAD drawings, including schematics, maps, and technical layouts, linked to GIS data for accurate spatial alignment.
Collaborate with GIS teams to seamlessly integrate CAD and GIS systems.
Translate GIS data into schematics with precision, maintaining spatial consistency throughout.
Ensure all schematic drawings meet relevant standards and project specifications.
Skills and Experience:
3, 5 or 10+ years of CAD drafting experience, particularly in schematic and technical drawing.
Proficiency in CAD software (eg, AutoCAD, MicroStation) and GIS platforms (eg, ArcGIS, QGIS).
Solid understanding of geospatial data with the capability to link CAD drawings to GIS databases.
Familiarity with spatial data formats, projections, and coordinate systems.
Exceptional attention to detail for ensuring data accuracy across CAD and GIS environments.
