Are you a quality-focused professional looking for an opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic food manufacturing environment? We're looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to take ownership of the quality function, ensuring products meet the highest safety, compliance, and customer standards.

As the Quality Lead, you'll report directly to the Technical Manager and have one direct report: a Quality Administrator. With plans for growth on the horizon, this role offers real potential to build and lead an expanding team.

The Role

This role combines office-based responsibilities with hands-on involvement, placing you at the core of operations to ensure the site remains audit-ready and maintains the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with production teams, leading audits, maintaining HACCP and food defence plans, and driving continuous improvement.

* Lead and manage site audits, ensuring compliance with food safety standards (e.g., BRCGS, HACCP, ISO, Halal, Kosher).

* Oversee quality risk assessments, allergen management, and supplier compliance.

* Investigate non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

* Monitor hygiene, food safety, and production quality processes.

* Ensure all documentation and regulatory requirements are up to date.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.

* Provide accurate quality KPI reports to the management team.

What We're Looking For

* 3+ years of experience in a Quality role within food manufacturing

* Level 3 HACCP & Food Safety qualification (or higher).

* Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, audits, and regulatory compliance.

* Hands-on, proactive approach - comfortable working on the factory floor as well as handling documentation.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

* Strong problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards.
