Transport Administrator

At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a Transport Administrator in our busy client site in Stowmarket.
The position of Transport Administrator involves:
- Support daily planning activity for a fleet of vehicles operating locally - including deliveries and collections.
- Co-ordination activities to include vehicle route planning and scheduling and container scheduling.
- Managing and de-briefing drivers on a daily/weekly basis.
- Co-ordinating with team to enable vehicle maintenance and service schedule for the contract vehicles.
- Working with a number of internal programmes to achieve effective operation of the business.
- A range of associated administrative duties to include responding to all queries via email and phone in a timely manner.
- You will also be required to work closely with our customers to ensure the smooth running of the operation as a whole.
Essential skills required for Transport Administrator:
- Previous experience working in a transport environment to include knowledge of working time directive and EU driver's hours.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
- Attention to detail is critical and working to deadlines daily.
- Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
- MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Salary for Transport Administrator is between £22,800pa to £24,000pa depending on experience.
- Hours of work are Monday - Friday 08:00hrs - 16:30hrs.
