Role Overview:

Latus Group are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tender Writer to join our growing team within the Occupational Health sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting high-quality, compelling tender documents that align with client needs and ensure our company remains competitive in the marketplace. The Tender Writer will work closely with various internal departments, including sales, operations, compliance, finance and HR, to gather the necessary information, develop winning proposals, and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Tender Preparation & Submission:

* Lead the preparation of tender submissions, ensuring they meet all client requirements and deadlines.

* Write and edit tender responses, proposals, and pre-qualification documents, ensuring clarity, consistency, and adherence to client specifications.

* Tailor responses to address the specific needs of clients in the specific tendering sector, demonstrating an understanding of industry best practices, health and safety regulations, and service delivery.

Collaboration & Research:

* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, operational teams, senior management) to gather the necessary technical and financial information to complete the tender responses.

* Conduct research on clients, competitors, and industry trends to ensure the proposals are competitive and meet the latest standards.

* Work with the technical team to develop appropriate solutions that meet the client's occupational health requirements.

Document Management & Tracking:

* Maintain a central library of pre-written responses and case studies that can be easily accessed for future tenders.

* Track and monitor tender deadlines to ensure all submissions are delivered on time.

* Ensure all documents are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements in the occupational health industry.

Quality Assurance:

* Review and proofread tender documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.

* Ensure all submission documents align with company brand, tone, and messaging.

Post-Tender Activities:

* Follow up with clients post-submission to answer any questions or provide additional information.

* Maintain relationships with key stakeholders to gather feedback and improve future submissions.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

* Experience:

* Required: Proven experience in writing tenders or proposals, particularly within the Occupational Health, healthcare, or related industries.

* Preferred: A strong understanding of the Occupational Health sector, including services like employee health assessments, workplace health monitoring, and safety programs.

* Writing & Communication Skills:

* Excellent written communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

* Strong editing and proofreading skills to ensure the highest quality of documents.

* Research & Analytical Skills:

* Ability to research client needs, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.

* Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the proposal.

* Project Management:

* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

* Experience in managing the entire tender process, from initial inquiry to submission.

* Technical Proficiency:

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

* Familiarity with tender portals, CRM systems, and document management systems is an advantage.

Desirable:

A degree or professional qualification in Occupational Health, Health & Safety, Business Administration, or related fields.

Previous experience in a business development or sales environment within the Occupational Health sector.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
