Important note:experience of Managing a ticketed HR service desk is essential for this position
The role
As the People Services Manager you will be play a critical role in the People team, overseeing high quality delivery for people services.
You will have responsibility for a team of 2 HR Officers, providing exceptional first line employee experience, from , from onboarding and benefits administration, through employee changes and offboarding.
You will ensure HR policies are consistently applied with an eye on customer/employee experience
This will be a two-stage interview - first stage via teams and the second stage will be competency based and face to face.
Some duties
- Lead and develop the Central HR team to deliver comprehensive services, including the management of HR Officers (currently 2) and their development.
- Manage and improve key people processes, such as onboarding, benefits administration, monthly payroll, pensions, contractual changes and offboarding of leavers
- Manage ticketed service desk developing its use to ensure we meet our Service Level Agreements, drive improvements, automation and improve employee experiences
- Prepare and manage reports on a weekly, monthly, annual, and ad-hoc basis, including payroll, pension, and reward management.
- Utilise HR metrics and data analysis to inform decision-making, improve HR services and data quality, and manage HR system operations.
Person specification
- Proven experience of improving HR processes and systems both directly and through line managing other HR team members
- Extensive experience working in a HR ticketed service desk environment
- Managing a ticketed HR service desk essential
- Strong track record of working in a fast-paced demanding HR function
- Relevant current UK employment law knowledge
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across stakeholder groups
- Have led/managed a customer experience related service
- Commitment to professional CPD with a solution focussed proactive problem-solving approach
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
