Butler Rose Public Practice is excited to support our client in their search for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join and expand their existing team.

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare statutory accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, and business plans for a diverse range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies/LLPs.
• Oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Provide tax and accounting advice, with support from the Client Manager.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Assist in the implementation of cloud-based software for clients, such as Xero and Dext.
• Support on ad hoc projects as required.

Candidate Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA newly qualified or in the final stages of qualification.
• Solid experience in accountancy practice.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, statutory accounts, and management accounts.
• Good knowledge of corporation tax, income tax, capital gains tax, and VAT.
• Familiarity with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Dext, and Fathom.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including knowledge of Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, and INDEX/MATCH functions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
