NRL are currently looking for a HV Inspection and Maintenance Manager based in Nursling, Southampton to join their clients team

Location: Primarily office-based in Nursling, with potential for hybrid once settled.
Duration: Ongoing 
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: CIS/UMB/PAYE
Salary: To be discussed
Hours: 37.5 

Responsibilities: 

Manage operational restrictions and plant database. 
Coordinate SAP call-out rota (Swindon depot will take over this). 
Programme and schedule work for the team. 
Quote for HV inspections, maintenance, installations, and remedial work. 
Build and manage OM/COM agreements and long-term maintenance plans. 
Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal staff to coordinate and deliver works. 
Procure materials and create job packs including RAMS, instructions, and reports. 
Produce and interpret technical reports for clients. 
Handle timesheets, holiday/overtime requests, and internal forecasting. 
Maintain records of maintenance and client data. 
Lead and coordinate the team to meet client needs. 
Support additional tasks as required, potentially including CRM and invoicing. 

Must have:

HV Electrical Knowledge: 
Strong understanding of 11-33kV HV systems, particularly third-party and DNO networks. Prior experience interpreting HV single line diagrams, working with clients' networks, and planning switching schedules is highly desirable. 
Technical Skills: 
Familiarity with HV equipment, replacements, and operations. Understanding of partial discharge, TEV testing, and thermal imaging interpretation. 
Client & Stakeholder Engagement: 
Able to confidently liaise with clients of varying technical understanding—offering expert guidance, managing expectations, and communicating clearly under scrutiny. 
IT & Data Management: 
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (especially formulas and conditional formatting) and SharePoint. Must be able to maintain and update complex documents and spreadsheets. 
Communication & Collaboration: 
Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders including contractors, EA Technology, and SSEN. Must be able to lead discussions and provide clear instructions. 
Work Ethic & Adaptability: 
Self-driven with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Able to manage multiple tasks, adapt to last-minute changes, and solve problems under pressure.
