Hours: Mon - Fri, Full time. Term Time Only

Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Merton (CR4) to appoint a committed and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in April 2025. The school has a strong focus on individual learning and wellbeing and is seeking someone who can support students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. You will be supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with identified SEND, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential
Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCo to implement EHCPs and personalised learning plans
Assist with developing stimulating classroom and play environments to meet pupils' needs
Support with phonics, literacy, numeracy, and social skills development
Support class teachers with lesson preparation and delivery.Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Prior experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
A positive, resilient and proactive approach to support
An up-to-date Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)Why Work with Long Term Futures?
