Are you ready to take on a dynamic role within a rapidly growing business? We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in structural steel and/or civil engineering to join our team in Grays, Essex. This role spans across all divisions of our esteemed client, providing a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.

Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the success of multiple sites, leading the site management team and ensuring quality and safety performance. Reporting directly to the Contracts Managers and Company Directors, you will attend site and client meetings, driving the success of each project.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day activities while building strong relationships with customers.

* Conduct site surveys and fully understand client needs.

* Order and organize materials to arrive on-site according to project schedules.

* Coordinate project designs with in-house and external design teams to ensure timely, compliant designs.

* Arrange labor for projects and distribute contractor packs as per the project timeline.

* Produce and maintain method statements, risk assessments, and lift plans to ensure safe work systems.

* Monitor site operations to ensure adherence to safety protocols.

* Provide information to resolve any disputes if necessary.

* Supervise and manage labor allocation and resources in collaboration with team managers.

* Cooperate with project, contract, and design managers in planning, scheduling, and executing works.

* Conduct on-site audits to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and company procedures.

* Meet responsibilities to prevent accidents, injuries, and health hazards.

* Maintain safe working environments free of risks to health, safety, and welfare.

* Set standards complying with statutory health, safety, and welfare requirements for employees, contractors, visitors, and the public.

* Safeguard employees and others from foreseeable hazards related to work activities and processes.

* Commit to improving team performance and implementing measures to maintain these improvements.

* Act as the first point of contact for resolving issues on contracts, agreeing on solutions to mitigate and remediate problems.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience in project management within the structural steel and/or civil engineering sectors.

* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.

* Excellent leadership and team management skills.

* Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

* Proficiency in project management software and tools.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
