Lead Data Scientist - MMM - Econometrics

Our client, a leading provider in sports betting, is seeking a talented Lead Econometrician to join their Econometrics team based in London (hybrid working). You will play a pivotal role in developing marketing intelligence solutions, primarily through Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM). This role will involve building econometric models that provide essential insights for stakeholders across marketing, finance, and compliance. You will also be responsible for leading key projects, mentoring junior team members, and working closely with internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement next-generation MMM solutions.
• Deploy and maintain econometric models for different brands and markets.
• Manage project delivery.
• Drive marketing efficiency through scenario planning and optimisation.
• Create tools, dashboards, and automation processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3-4 years of MMM experience (agency, consultancy, or in-house).
• Numerate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science.
• Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and advanced Excel for data processing and analysis.
• Knowledge of media planning/buying and its relationship to MMM.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience with automated MMM.
• Industry experience in Entertainment, Gaming, or Gambling.
• Experience working within an international organisation.
