Games Workshop is recruiting an opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to support our Warehousing and Logistics departments.
We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a demonstrable commitment to consistency, and the ability to complete all tasks with the highest level of accuracy and reliability to ensure Games Workshop is a safe place to work.
Working within a dedicated team, you will support our two warehouses, one at Lenton and another site at East Midlands Gateway, where you will be predominantly based, providing advice and support so they operate in line with company procedures and working collaboratively to deliver H&S when issues occur.
You will need to be logical, pragmatic, and systematic in your approach and an excellent communicator who can clearly interpret health and safety legal requirements into practical advice and procedures for hiring managers. You will be 'hands-on,' working closely with all staff in the area to support them in their drive for health and safety excellence, ensuring managers develop, implement, and review effective H&S processes and procedures to ensure compliance. You will need to have the confidence to act and deal with situations independently but also have the good judgement required to know when to internally escalate, particularly when incidents require external notification such as RIDDOR or insurance matters.
With a focus on continuous improvement, you will take accountability for supporting your assigned business area with the implementation of the requirements of the health and safety system, developing into being recognised as the subject matter expert. This role requires someone who can maintain a strong performance, adhering to established standards and procedures to deliver exceptional results every time.
