Key Responsibilities:

Acting as Lead Design Engineer to deliver and check design solutions and associated outputs
Coordinating with other disciplines to ensure project success
Providing technical guidance, support, and training to colleagues
Involvement in projects from conception to completion
Supporting the Project Manager in clarifying project briefs, deliverables, and milestones
Establishing project checking and approval arrangements
Delivering significant elements of detailed design and checking outputs
Reviewing projects on completion and recommending enhancements

Job Requirements:

A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Significant experience in structures design, including bridges and ancillary civil structures
Chartered Membership of the ICE or IStructE
Proficiency with design to Eurocodes and DMRB
Experience mentoring graduate engineers under ICE or IStructE training schemes
Experience with structural design and analysis software like Autodesk Structural Bridge Design or LUSAS
Experience in providing project governance and managing tight timescales
Excellent written and verbal communication skills adaptable to different audiences
A full UK driving licence
