We are seeking a Building Physics Engineer to join a specialist team in Birmingham. You'll be using Integrated Environmental Solutions and focussing on building performance analysis to contribute to a range of commercial, industrial, manufacturing, logistic, retail and residential projects.
Requirements to be considered for this Building Physics Consultant role:
- Experience using Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES VE) building simulation software.
- Have demonstratable building physics experience.
- A degree in building physics, environmental engineering or a similar relevant subject.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations, energy codes and planning requirements.
- (Ideally) IES Accreditation and/or OCDEA/LCC/LCEA qualifications.
- Live in or committable to Birmingham.
The key responsibilities of this Building Physics Engineer role include:
- Carrying out building performance analysis in relation to sustainability, energy efficiency and thermal comfort.
- Using IES VE software to assess environmental impacts and model building physics.
- Contributing to business development and liaising with clients.
- Contribute to development of sustainable design strategies./
- Support teams to achieve building certifications and energy efficient targets.
