Data Cabling Engineer

Location: Bristol and surrounding areas

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per year, dependent on skills and experience

Schedule: 8-hour shifts; occasional overnight stays may be required.

The Role:
As a Data Cabling Engineer, you'll take on exciting projects, installing and maintaining data cabling and network systems across various environments. The client is looking for detail-oriented, customer-focused, and reliable field based engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and termination of Cat5e - Cat6a cabling
Fitting and arranging trunking and various containment types
Performing cabinet changes, tidying, and ensuring neat setups
Installing fibre optic and voice cabling; diagnosing and fixing issues
Setting up Wi-Fi access points for optimal connectivity
Following technical drawings and layouts accurately

About You:

The client is seeking qualified, friendly, and approachable engineers with strong communication skills for face-to-face and phone interactions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, punctual, and dedicated to delivering excellent service to clients and our office team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience: Proven expertise in data cabling installation (Cat5e - Cat6a) and containment installation
Clean UK Driving License: Essential for travel to various project sites
CSCS/ECS Card: Preferred but not mandatory; training support available
Tools: You'll need your own tools and drills
Location: Based in Bristol or nearby areas to ensure easy access to job sites

Location
