We at Simpson Judge are currently working with a specialised multi-service law firm operating from multiple offices in Birmingham, the firm is experiencing growth both through organic development and acquisitions, making this an excellent opportunity to join a flourishing organisation.

Their clientele includes large corporations, professionals, and small to medium-sized enterprises.

There is an immediate opening for a Commercial Litigation Paralegal to become part of their thriving Commercial Litigation Department.

The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team and will be expected to handle a diverse range of cases, such as:

  • Contractual matters, including claims based on personal guarantees;
  • Professional negligence claims;
  • Disputes among companies and partnerships;
  • Shareholder conflicts;
  • Applications for freezing and search orders;
  • High-value personal disputes;
  • Insolvency litigation, which includes challenging statutory demands and winding-up petitions, as well as bringing or defending claims from insolvency practitioners on behalf of companies in administration or liquidation.


Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

- At least 1 years of paralegal experience specifically in commercial litigation.
- A strong work ethic coupled with a proactive attitude.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- A track record of achieving at least 1500 billable hours consistently.
- Effective case management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- A degree with a classification of 2:1 or higher.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Excellent drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with proven communication skills.
- A solid understanding of commercial principles.
