Reed Accountancy are currently partnered with a client in the Burgess Hill area who are looking for a dedicated Finance/Office Assistant to join their existing team.  As Finance/Office Assistant this role will provide comprehensive administrative support across the business and assist the finance team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals seeking to enhance their financial skills and knowledge within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will ensuring smooth operations within the office through a variety of administrative tasks.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Build and maintain client relations through regular communication, supporting timely payments, and upholding our company values.
  • Manage credit control, including allocating payments, issuing monthly statements, and conducting follow-up communications.
  • Administer petty cash and manage expense claims with accuracy.
  • Handle the collation and entry of credit card receipts.
  • Serve as the first point of contact at reception to meet, greet, and record customers and suppliers.
  • Manage daily staffing and attendance records for fire and evacuation requirements.
  • Answer inbound (non-sales) enquiries and manage travel arrangements for management and directors.
  • Provide diary management for the CEO, MD, and FD, including meeting administration and note-taking.
  • Attend board meetings to impartially collate, then distribute notes and actions.
  • Maintain financial and HR paperwork through filing, scanning, and archiving.
  • Perform general office administration duties and ad hoc projects as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven organisational ability with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Awareness of data protection, security, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a variety of tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in an administrative role.
  • A working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software
