Year 6 General Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 6 General Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in Huyton, Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students in their final year of primary education, helping them reach their full potential as they prepare for secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons;
• Provide targeted support for groups and individual pupils in Year 6, including pre-teaching sessions in core subjects such as maths and English;
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment;
• Assist with classroom preparation and organisation;
• Support pupils with their emotional and social development;
• Work closely with staff to ensure that pupils' learning needs are met.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with Year 6 pupils is essential;
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly in preparation for SATs;
• Ability to support pupils both academically and emotionally;
• A positive attitude, patience, and the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff;
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3) are preferred.
