Job Purpose:
A new opportunity has arisen within the Reactors Programme for an Assistant Project Manager to support the safe and efficient delivery of multi-disciplinary decommissioning and infrastructure projects. This position will play a key role in both the planning and implementation phases, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure milestones are achieved to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the coordination and delivery of infrastructure upgrade works across the Reactors Programme
* Support the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and baselines
* Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to drive timely and safe project execution
* Monitor project performance against key criteria including safety, cost, programme, and quality, identifying any deviations and recommending corrective action
* Ensure appropriate resources are in place by liaising with the works control centre
* Contribute to the preparation of handover packages and provide input during project transition stages
* Participate in site emergency exercises and fulfill associated safety responsibilities
* Line manage Dounreay staff as required and contribute to team leadership

Requirements
* Demonstrable experience in a nuclear or complex industrial environment
* Strong background in construction or infrastructure project delivery
* Familiar with contract management principles
* Holds a valid CITB SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification
* *Qualified to at least HND level in Engineering or a related scientific discipline, or holds equivalent experience
