About the Role - KS1 Teaching Assistant

This supportive school is known for its inclusive ethos, creative curriculum, and excellent leadership team. As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils across both Year 1 and Year 2, offering general classroom support, delivering small-group interventions, and occasionally providing 1:1 support for children with SEND or additional needs.

As a TA in this setting, you will:

Work flexibly across Year 1 and Year 2
Support the class teacher in creating a positive, stimulating learning environment
Run small-group intervention sessions focusing on phonics, literacy, or numeracy
Support pupils with SEND as needed on a 1:1 basis
Encourage participation, independence, and confidence in all learnersWhat We're Looking For in a KS1 Teaching Assistant / TA:

Experience working as a KS1 Teaching Assistant or TA in a primary setting
Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and child development
Positive, proactive, and engaging attitude
Experience with SEND and additional needs is highly desirable
Confidence running small-group and 1:1 interventions
