Job Title: Architect/Architect Technian.

Location: Mawdesley.

Salary: Up to £50K.

Our client has over 18 years' experience creating bespoke homes in and around Lancashire, Cumbria and Cheshire, working alongside our clients throughout the complete building process we undertake architectural design, planning, interior design, cost & project management, full construction and fit out work in predominantly North West, England, rural areas.

We established our sister business in 2022 to take on and manage the design stage preconstruction phases from conceptual design through the planning process to the production of detailed construction and interiors drawings and specifications. We are looking to establish as a class leading practise, specialising in bespoke, high specification residential projects throughout the Northwest or England and beyond.

We are seeing continual growth and therefore require and experienced Architect (Part 2-3) or Architectural Technician/Technologist to tackle the increasing workload.

Working in rural Lancashire predominantly on individual and bespoke residential projects which include new build homes, large extension, and conversion projects.

The individual will take the lead on all stages of design and architecture and will be responsible for the entire process from client brief to generating architectural feasibility, through planning to detailed construction and specification and overseeing the onsite implementation.

You will be responsible for delivery of multiple residential projects with support from the wider construction team and will work alongside our Managing Director and Architectural Lead to deliver all projects successfully.

You will be given opportunity to help build a team around yourself and to present new ideas to aid business development and will be empowered to bring your own creativity and style into your work

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Run a project through all RIBA stages from concept to completion.

* Attend client meetings to negotiate projects.

* To assist in the generation of the project fee proposal.

* To design the project, preparing and presenting design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD), 3D models and traditional hand drawn methods, if required

* Design and specify in line with all current building regulations.

* To produce consistently high-quality technical design drawings, construction specifications, which show a clear and solid understanding of “buildability” and construction methods.

* To lead the design process on specific projects and the production of the design information, but to contribute to construction methodology and process.

* To liaise with external professional design team including but not limited to, structural engineers, M&E Consultants, Landscape Designers, Interior Designers.

* To complete, submit and manage all statutory approvals to include Planning, Building Control, Energy Assessors, and Ecological Consultants.

* Ensure construction is carried out accurately, following plans and specifications.

* Helping senior rmanagers to plan the work programme.

Skills & Experience

RIBA or CIAT Registered.

7yrs+ Experience post qualification across all architecture & construction work stages.

Strong concept design talent.

Excellent knowledge of the NPF and Local Planning Policies.

Meticulous technical design skills with thorough knowledge of UK Building Regulations and other relevant standards.

Extensive construction knowledge with a keen eye for detail.

A strong practical thinker.

A team-player with strong communication and collaboration skills working with clients, colleagues, LPA's, Other design professionals and skilled contractors.

Outstanding organisational and time-management skills, allowing delivery of multiple projects at different work stages.

Strong AutoCAD Skills (essential).
