Are you a passionate and devoted EnglishTeacher looking to inspire the next generation?GSL Education Kent are actively looking to hire a skilled and passionate English Teacher to join a SEN school in Maidstone.

As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in inspiring a love for language and literature in your students. Your innovative teaching methods and carefully crafted lesson plans will cultivate a dynamic learning environment where students can excel. You will engage with students of diverse learning needs, nurturing their language skills and guiding them toward academic success.Key responsibilities of English Teacher :

  • Develop and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Create, implement, and regularly review Individualised Education Plans for students, setting specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals.
  • Collaborate with SEN coordinators, support staff, and parents to develop and update Individualised Education Plans.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, encourages participation, and supports the emotional and social well-being of students with SEND.
  • Implement and adhere to effective behaviour management strategies tailored to the needs of students with SEND.
  • Integrate cross-curricular learning opportunities that support the overall development of students.
  • Identify and utilise appropriate resources, including technology and assistive devices, to support the learning and development of students with SEND.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students, adhering to the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures.

Requirements for SENEnglish Teacher:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree with a UK-recognised teaching qualification - QTLS or QTS or PGCE
  • Experience teaching English in the school setting.
  • A strong understanding of SEN and experience working with students with diverse needs is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a sincere dedication to assisting students with special educational needs.
  • Skill in adjusting teaching approaches to accommodate diverse learning styles and requirements for SEN students.
