Their residential home focuses on promoting the physical, emotional, and social development of each child in our care.

Job Description:

They are seeking empathetic and committed Residential Care Workers to join their team. You will play a crucial role in:

  • Providing day-to-day care and support to children and young people in our residential setting.
  • Helping to create a safe, positive, and home-like environment.
  • Assisting with personal care, education support, and recreational activities.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and development through personalised care plans.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals like social workers, therapists, and educators to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
  • Managing daily household tasks and ensuring the home is maintained to high standards.
  • Documenting and reporting on the progress and wellbeing of the children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with children in activities that promote their growth and wellbeing.
  • Monitor and record behaviour patterns and progress.
  • Handle emergency situations calmly and appropriately.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions aimed at improving care practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all safeguarding and child protection policies.

Requirements:

  • Experience in children's residential care.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent, is desirable.
  • Must have a warm, caring nature with a genuine interest in the welfare of children.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A clean enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) is mandatory.
  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
