Payments Business Analyst | 12 Month FTC | Up to £70,000 We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in payments platforms and business change. You will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic projects and supporting the payment operations team, ensuring impactful changes are implemented across systems, processes, and people. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of a payments strategy within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with teams to deliver the payments platform strategy, managing both project-based and BAU changes.
- Ensure alignment between solutions and strategic objectives, covering systems, processes, and technology.
- Elicit and evaluate business requirements, ensuring clarity and feasibility for implementation.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate needs into actionable requirements.
- Support the creation of a Business Analysis Center of Excellence to enhance standards and processes.
- Manage project documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process, and customer journey maps.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring effective communication and project alignment.
Essential Skills and Experience: - Proven experience in business analysis, especially within the payments or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of requirements engineering frameworks and familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in tools like Jira and Confluence for requirements management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders and building relationships.
- Experience in mapping business processes and customer journeys, ensuring operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
Desirable Skills: - Knowledge of the UK financial services payments landscape and architecture.
- Experience in business case development and evaluation of project benefits.
