Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers a hybrid working environment based in Didsbury, providing a balance of remote and in-office work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of complex accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• HMRC & VAT Compliance: Manage VAT returns and other HMRC-related submissions, ensuring timely and accurate filing.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, contributing to financial planning and analysis.
• Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain accurate financial records.
• Support Audit Processes: Assist in the preparation of documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
• Ad hoc Analysis: Provide financial analysis and reports as required to support business decisions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Part-Qualified Accountant: Currently studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
• Experience: Some experience in complex account preparation is required.
• Tax Knowledge: Experience with VAT returns is essential, and familiarity with excise duty will be an advantage.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
