Electrical Design Engineer (Office Based)

Up to £57.5k (8% Bonus, Healthcare Plan, 33 Days holiday)

My client are seeking a bright minded and driven Electrical Design Engineer to join their small but forward thinking design team based in Bedford. The company have multiple sites across Europe and have experienced year on year sustained growth over the past 5 years. Due to this growth they are looking to add to their design team by recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer. The Electrical Design Engineer will have ample opportunities to progress both in their career as well as their technical knowledge, as the company has an ethos of continual professional development.

The company has been established for over 50 years with a impeccable reputation within the market. They supply bespoke machinery in to various markets, ranging from medical devices to packaging.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Electrical Design Engineer duties will include but are not limited to:

* Creating System Designs in accrodance to Machinery Directives

* Conceptual design

* Design and development of components and assemblies

* Producing technical drawings using Solidworks including detail and assembly drawings for production.

* Part costings, BOM and technical documentation preparation.

* Technical assistance to workshop staff for production of assemblies

* Ensuring compliance to UKCA & CE directives and risk assessments

* Developing and testing new and existing technologies

* Testing and Client FAT's

Key Skills required by Electrical Design Engineer:

* Experienced electrical design engineer, experience of electrical schematic design

* Knowledge of Electrical/Electronic Engineering in automation

* Previous exposure to machine manufacturing and machine assembly

* Full product training will be provided on technologies, but it is essential to have the solid technical background to understand and develop further

* Results orientated and focused on achieving objectives.

* Ability to design machine modules and frames, understanding of machining processes to be able to specify suitable and achievable tolerances.

* Some mechatronic experience would preferable
