We are partnering with a well-established groundworks contractor who specialises in residential projects. With an outstanding reputation for quality and efficiency, our client is looking for a skilled Setting Out Engineer to join their team and contribute to the successful delivery of residential groundworks across a variety of developments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set out and survey residential groundworks projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications.

* Produce setting out drawings and mark out the works for foundations, drainage, roads, and other site elements.

* Work closely with the site team, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure effective site operations.

* Liaise with the design team to ensure drawings and plans are accurate and reflect the latest site information.

* Conduct site surveys, level checks, and quality assurance procedures to ensure high standards of work.

* Maintain accurate records of site measurements and reports.

* Provide technical support to site teams and help resolve any on-site issues that may arise.

* Monitor and review progress to ensure works are completed on time and to budget.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer, ideally within the groundworks or civil engineering sectors.

* Strong understanding of setting out techniques and the ability to interpret construction drawings.

* Experience working on residential construction projects.

* Familiarity with the use of setting out equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS, Dumpy Level).

* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

* A degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction is desirable.

* Experience with construction software (e.g., AutoCAD) is a plus
