Drama Teacher - Full time - September Start - Permanent Role - Mainstream Secondary School - Paid to Scale

I am seeking an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to join a 'Good' Ofsted-rated mixed secondary school in Ruislip. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and dynamic drama lessons, fostering a love for the performing arts and helping students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning:

* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Drama lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.

* Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the national curriculum.

* Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.

Student Support:

* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

* Encourage student participation in drama activities, both in and out of the classroom.

* Provide additional support to students who need extra help.

*

Classroom Management:

* Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.

* Implement school policies and procedures to manage student behavior effectively.

* Foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.

Extracurricular Activities:

* Organize and lead drama clubs, productions, and other extracurricular activities.

* Promote opportunities for students to participate in school performances and external events.

*

Collaboration and Professional Development:

* Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the drama curriculum and share best practices.

* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

* Stay updated with developments in drama education.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.

* Previous teaching experience in a secondary school setting preferred.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to inspire and motivate students.

* Excellent organizational and classroom management skills.
