  • Facilitate the development and implementation of tailored support plans for older prisoners, addressing their individual needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and community partners to create pathways for employment, housing, and healthcare, promoting successful reintegration.
  • Advocate for the rights and dignity of older prisoners, striving to create a rehabilitative environment that fosters hope and second chances.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in offender management or rehabilitation programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by older individuals within the criminal justice system
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach towards supporting individuals through their reintegration journey
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • A relevant degree or professional accreditation in social work, criminology, psychology, or a related field
  • Additional training or certification in rehabilitation or reintegration practices
  • Experience working within the justice system or with vulnerable populations is highly desirable
