Electrical Engineer - Didcot, Oxfordshire

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our clients Electrical Team in Didcot, Oxfordshire.

**Position Details:**
- **Salary:** £39,500 - £41,488.44
- **Hours:** Monday - Friday (40 Hours)

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance across various buildings within our client's portfolio.
- Duties include inspection and testing, emergency light testing, PAT testing, RCD testing, and installation or repair of equipment such as lamps and sockets.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with other trades, as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and suppliers, demonstrating strong written and verbal skills.

**What We're Looking For:**
- Strong adherence to Health and Safety legislation and current good practices.
- Experience with access equipment, as well as commercial and industrial installations.
- Proficiency in testing and inspection, holding a 2391 certification or equivalent.
- Full familiarity with the latest wiring regulations and competence in completing NICEIC certificates.
- Flexibility to assist with minor building repairs, general maintenance, and contractor escort duties.
- Ability to operate in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills are desirable.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
- Diligent, professional, and intuitive approach to work.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks and use electrical PPE as required.

**Person Specification:**
- 18th Edition certification in electrical installation.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services - Electrical Installation.
- City & Guilds 2391 testing and inspection, City & Guilds 2330 or NVQ equivalent, and City & Guilds 2377 certifications.
- Previous experience in a commercial maintenance environment.
- Flexibility to undertake tasks beyond specific trade duties.
- Valid full driving license.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
- Baseline security clearance is advantageous.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- IPAF and PASMA certifications are preferred but not mandatory; specialist safety training will be provided.
