Accounts Assistant- Theatre

  • Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm).
  • Location: office in Holborn- Onsite 5 days a week
  • Looking for a minimum of 2-3 years experience in Finance
  • 30-32K depending on experience

We are working with one of the UK's leading producers of West End productions and touring theatre. Current productions include the Tony Award-winning smash-hit SIX the Musical (West End, UK Tour, Broadway, US Tour); Mischief Theatre's The Play That Goes Wrong (West End & Off-Broadway); Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World (UK Tour and West End); and from the writers of SIX a new stage musical Why Am I So Single? opening in the West End in August 2024.

THE ROLE

The Accounts Assistant will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of the accounts department for Kenny Wax Productions' group of companies. It is one of 6 roles within the Finance team.

We are looking for someone hardworking, with fantastic administration skills to help the Finance Department through a particularly busy autumn of show openings. JOB RESPONSIBILITES

  • Processing electronic Petty Cash expenditure & paperwork submissions
  • Reconciliation of nominal codes
  • Processing & filing invoices
  • Credit Control
  • Monitoring daily communications
  • Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct
  • Working with spreadsheets and transaction reports
  • Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers
  • Liaising with all departments in the Company re. invoice queries
  • Raising sales invoices as and when required
  • Processing Head Office expenses
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required by the department

ESSENTIAL

  • Previous experience of detailed reconciliation work across different financial platforms and records
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 package including Excel & Sharepoint
  • Team ethic

DESIRABLE

  • Working knowledge of Pleo or similar platform
  • Experience of Sage 50
