Power distribution consultancy that works on a range of high voltage (HV) projects, requires an HV Design Engineer to join their expanding team.

The role:

* Design of HV networks - 11kV and 33kV - new connections, primary and protection systems

* Specification of electrical equipment, such as switchgear and transformers

* Power systems analysis - load flow, power studies etc

* Liaison with DNOs, IDNOs and ICPs

* Taking part in design meetings

The person:

* Degree in Electrical Engineering or related subject

* Experience in the design of HV networks at 11kV or 33kV

* Proven background in the specification of transformers and switchgear

* Proficiency using power systems software, such as DigSilent or ETAP

* Strong theoretical knowledge of HV engineering and the ability to design from first principles
