Role Overview:

As a Groundworks Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of an infrastructure project from start to finish, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a pivotal role within the team, and you will be responsible for coordinating resources, managing budgets, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

* Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of groundworks projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

* Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to deliver the project scope.

* Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.

* Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

* Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

* Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditure, ensuring financial control and reporting.

Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience as a Project Manager within groundworks or infrastructure sectors.

* Strong understanding of groundworks techniques and processes, including excavation, drainage, foundations, and roadworks.

* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and client relationships.

* In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

* Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).

* A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).

* SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS certification (desirable).
